Nature launches Network Boston

Nature Network Boston is a networking site for scientist in Boston. With all the new product launches Nature is becoming publishing industry's Google. What we need now is to expand this globally and create a network for all the scientist and researchers and engineers. Who will do this?
Elsevier, Yahoo or Nature or an alliance of these three?

What I saw from NNB is a little bit disappointing when compared to www.linkedin.com, www.openbc.com or even www.academici.com. OK, it's still a beta version...

they may not be at the level of other services but what's good about nature is that they can put these kind of products (including connetea) out quickly and take some risks. this is something that you don't see with major scientific publishers
